Valarie Rae Miller, who plays Original Cindy, the sexually charged lesbian on "Dark Angel," had to convince the show's producers she wouldn't have a problem with the character's sexuality. "They'd cast the part twice before I got it, but they weren't real actresses," says Miller. "One was more of a singer who was trying to act a bit, the other was a model who was trying to act. Whenever you're a 'something-slash-actress' the 'slash' sometimes holds you up. So before I went in to read for the networks, the producers said, 'You realize your character's a lesbian, and you will probably have to kiss a woman at some point?' and I was like, 'And? How many guys have I had to kiss that I didn't necessarily want to kiss? And it's nothing personal anyway.'" A love interest for Original Cindy will be popping up soon. Miller's looking forward to it.
