Thanks to truejhsn RADNOR, Pa. (AP) - ``Dark Angel'' stars Jessica Alba and Michael Weatherly may be engaged in real life, but everything is quite chaste on screen. The Fox show's second-season story line has their characters, genetically superior siren Max and cyberjournalist Logan, unable to come into physical contact due to a virus that will kill him. Weatherly, 33, tells TV Guide he doesn't mind the on-screen obstacle. ``I'm up for it,'' Weatherly told the magazine for an Oct. 15 cover story. ``Because I know at the end of the day, I get to go home to the real thing.'' Alba admits her parents initially did not approve of their relationship. ``I'm like their baby girl,'' she said. ``I mean, my dad was the man in my life, you know? And now he's not.'' Some attention has focused on the 13-year age difference between Alba, 20, and Weatherly, making them cautious in interviews. ``People always have to make it (sound) so titillating,'' Weatherly said. '``She's a minor! No? Well, she's almost a minor.''' ``It's like people think my interest in Jessica could only be of a sexual nature, that it couldn't be emotional or intellectual,'' he said. ``I find that really childish and mean-spirited.'' |
