Thanks to maggie and alliKat and Scribbled Musings There is an article in Us weekly about alba and weatherly. Its the September 24 through October 1 edition. HOW THEY MET: At the audition for their series, a postapocalyptic drama in which genetically engineered Max (Alba) is hunted by her military creators but helped by idealistic Logan (Weatherly). “I was terrified,” Weatherly told Us Weekly of their first counter, about 18 months ago. “She’s kind of eye-crushingly beautiful.” Within weeks of the series airing, Alba and Weatherly (who from 1995-1997 was married to his costar on the soap Loving, Amelia Heinle, with whom he has a 5-year-old son, August) were rumored to be a couple. “There was definitely a chemistry,” said Dark Angel cocreator James Cameron, “so it was not a huge surprise to me when their relationship manifested itself.” However, the couple didn’t make it official until May of this year, when Alba revealed a diamond engagement ring on Entertainment Tonight. WORK AND PLAY: Alba and Weatherly are on location in Vancouver, Canada, for 10 months of the year, but at least they get to spend their 16-hour workdays together. Off the set, Weatherly, who grew up in Connecticut and used to play in a rock band when he was a struggling actor, enjoys nights out on the town with his buddies, while Alba, a native of Southern California, developed a love of literature despite never having gone to college. Weatherly recalled asking her, soon after they met, what she did for fun. “And she holds up Martin Amis’s London Fields and says, ‘This is fun. Have you read it?’” he said. THE BIG DAY: Alba won’t say if they’ve set a date yet. “I’m going to keep that a secret.” Still, she’s open about wanting to have a family. “[I] feel the need to reproduce,” she told Us Weekly last year.
